Hello and "Herzlich Willkommen"!  I am Kerstin - a German DIY Aficionada (living in Canada),  who loves painting furniture, upcycling vintage and thrift store finds and remodeling the house on a budget.

CARPE DIEM is a Latin phrase that means "seize the day," encouraging people to embrace and make the most of the moment and of their time. Being creative and putting aside all worries and doubts (can I do this? Is this project not way too advanced for me?) encouraged ME a few years ago to simply go for it and to start working on my first renovation and craft projects. I am FAR from being a DIY EXPERT, but honestly, who cares? I love what I am doing and I enjoy working with my hands (and my -almost forgotten-CREATIVE side of my brain) and I always feel VERY CARPE DIEM once I finish a project. Give it a try, get inspired and remember - Life is short - CARPE DIEM - do what you like, do it now (not tomorrow) and seize the day!!!
