IKEA BESTA Pantry

We had a little bit of a storage problem in our kitchen. My husband loves to cook and has quite a collection of spices (stored all over the kitchen in several spice boards, spice racks, plastic containers etc.). He kept buying more and more....Why? He simply lost track of where he actually stored this one special spice he was just in need for a certain dish to cook....couldn't find it and bought a new one. It took me several hours just to go thru his stash, fill all the spices in proper spice jars and label it all accordingly. The next step was to come up with an idea where to store all his spices, specialty oils, sauces and dry ingredients. The IKEA BESTA Livingroom Storage System was the perfect fit for us!

We purchased the BESTA Frame, three drawers (with frosted glass drawer fronts), 1 dark gray high gloss door and 1 door with a "picture frame front" (this door actually has a black or white insert and you can attach your own pictures to it, which is pretty cool).

The three drawers give us plenty of space for all the spices and behind the two doors we are able to store all the rest. We both LOVE this pantry and it is so much easier to find the spice you need.
